What we do

Welcome to Tassie Mums and thank you for visiting our website.

Tassie Mums is a not for profit volunteer based group that is passionate about providing essential items to babies and children in need.  We collect donations of new and pre loved baby and children’s clothing and other small items through donation bins which are supported by local individuals, schools and businesses.

Donations are carefully sorted and bundled by volunteers and then “rehomed” via social service organisations to Tasmanian families across the state. The recipients of bundles are determined by the welfare agencies which request goods from Tassie Mums.

Clothing bundles are made for girls and boys from premature birth up to 12 years of age.  A newborn bundle can contain up to 70-100 items of clothing and at least 2 books and 2 toys, donations permitting.   Other items we rehome include nappies, play mats, bassinet and cot linen and toiletry packs for new mothers.

Please refer to our WHAT CAN BE REHOMED list for more details and to stay up to date on all the latest Tassie Mums news please follow us on Facebook www.facebook.com/tassiemumsclothingdrive
