Welcome to the Tassie Mums Makers Page

Tassie Mums is fortunate to have many supporters who are talented 'Makers'. This page is to help give our community a guide for items that are most needed, the general styles and materials that work well and for some items exact dimensions.  

**PLEASE  CHECK IN WITH US BEFORE MAKING 

TO FIND OUT WHAT IS MOST NEEDED**

THINGS TO MAKE

Bibs and Burp Cloths

These are great beginner pieces to makes and can often be made from leftover material from other projects. 

**NO TIES on bibs**

Bassinet & Cot Blankets

Tight weave is best to avoid little fingers and toes getting stuck.

Bassinet blankets are approx 50x80cm

Cot blankets are approx 110x130cm

Beanies and Scarves

Knitted Cardigans and Jumpers

Everyone loves to knit beanies so please check in with us first before making to see what sizes are most needed.  

This is often older children ages 4-12

**Please no baby beanies**

Please no snood style scarves for under 7yrs.

**No hoods on clothing for under 1s**

**Please no beads or buttons, inside or out**

We love teddies, bunnies, aeroplanes, snails, octopuses and more, wherever your creative skills take you.

  • Playmats (quilted is lovely)
  • Bassinet and cot top sheets
  • Drawstring bags (roughly A4 & A3 sizes or infant/adult pillowcase size)

Knit One Give One

This is a terrific  initiative that aims to spread warmth to those in need through a community of volunteer knitters.  There are patterns for baby cardigans,  blankets, beanies, scarves, gloves and toys.
